Amanda Defends One Lap of America Title While Raising Awareness

   Atlanta, GA- Amanda Hennessy will compete in this year’s One Lap of America to defend her 1st in class title. This year, Amanda will race a 2008 Chevy HHR SS, tuned with support from GM Performance and sponsored by Dubler Racing, a Swiss chocolate factory.

   A test of endurance and skills, the One Lap of America is an eight-day event, stretching over 4,000 miles across the United States. Along the way, Amanda will compete in twenty events at various racetracks, ranging from skid pads and circle tracks, to drag strips and road courses. Distance between tracks range from 75 miles to 820 miles! Amanda must drive the HHR SS from track to track with the tools, parts, gear, and clothes needed for the duration.    

Along the way Amanda will raise money for her charity of choice, 1 in 8 Motorsports.  1 in 8’s mission is to focus on early detection of breast cancer.  “I love this event. Not only is this a great race, but it gives me the opportunity to help others and raise money for a great cause, ” Amanda stated.

   Amanda would like you to join her on this event. Hennessy Racing Inc. will be accepting donations. All donations will be given to 1 in 8 Motorsports. Donations can be any total amount, or an amount per mile that Amanda drives over the course of the event (ex: one penny X 4,000 miles= $40.00) No amount is too small!  Any donation will get your name on Amanda’s racecar for the event.
