Helping the Team to Podium at Homestead

Monday, January 15, 2007

After a few problems forming with the Fast Cash Racing Team’s IMSA lite West cars, Amanda took one out for a series of test at Homestead. “The car’s reliability was our main objective. Afterward we concentrated on the shifting kits, set up, and tire temps.” Amanda said after she finished making a few adjustments to one of the cars.

After a day of qualifying the first West car seemed perfect, but the second blew a motor. Amanda wasted no time. By the next day, the car was ready for it’s break in at the hardship session. That afternoon, the car, driven by Ed Zabinski, took an astounding 2nd place finish. “It all payed off when Ed got out of the car with a smile on his face. I’d call this a victorious weekend.” Amanda finished with.

Amanda will continue as car chief of the West #97 for the Fast Cash Racing Team for the SCCA and IMSA races.
